Custody

A custodian is responsible for holding your investments; recording deposits and withdrawals, transactions, dividends, and interest payments; and sending monthly statements of asset and activity directly to you. Custodians typically offer on-line access to every aspect of your account. They also send you proxy materials and other investment specific information required by the SEC.

Stellar operates in a bifurcated environment which means that custody and investment management, while integrated, operate independently. This creates a built-in system of checks and balances. In the event that you ask us to recommend a custodian we will recommend an unaffiliated custodian based upon your needs and/or preferences. In addition, we can coordinate our services with any number of corporate trustees if that is a requirement of your account.

Factors that we consider when recommending a custodian to clients include:
